High-profile broadcaster and politician, Amb. (Dr.) Opeyemi Ayanrinde, popularly known as MC Swagger, has sent ripples through the Oyo State political landscape by clarifying his stance on party loyalty versus personal mentorship. Speaking with newsmen on Sunday evening, the Ibarapa-born media guru and former aide to the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, declared that while his heart remains with the All Progressives Congress (APC), his respect for PDP stalwart and former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi, remains unshakable. In what many are calling a bold “political blowout,” MC Swagger emphasized that his relationship with Gbolarumi transcends partisan boundaries. Despite being a committed member of the AKK Group within the APC, he described Gbolarumi as a pillar of his political journey. ”Gbolarumi remains my political godfather,” Ayanrinde stated. “His political experience, exposure, and orientation are paramount. He is a father, a mentor, and a leader per excellence. I belong to APC, but that doesn’t stop me from relating with people of like minds who believe in me.” Ayanrinde, who resigned his appointment as Special Assistant on Mobilization to the Speaker last November, noted that his devotion to the APC is fueled by a desire to deliver results come 2027. He explained that his entry into politics was never about being a “bench warmer” but about creating tangible change for his constituency. Defining his philosophy, the Oyo State Coordinator for the Forum of MSMEs remarked that politics is ultimately the process of deciding “who gets what, when, and how.” He noted that his loyalty lies where there is mutual growth. ”Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK) shaped my ground and political recognition, which I will never take for granted. He is my man and my principal,” Ayanrinde added. “I only believe in people who appreciate me for who I am. It’s all about who is ready to build us and take us to where we belong. All man for himself; may we all have a very successful ending.” Post navigation Natasha Drops Shady Statistics, Issues Final Warning to Those Who Abandoned the Umbrella 2027 SHOCKER: Tinubu Knows APC Can’t Score 20% in a Free Election — Olawepo-Hashim
