IBADAN — Barrister Lawal Akeem Ishola, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Oluyole State Constituency in the 2027 general elections, has outlined infrastructure and community development plans as his campaign train visited Ayegun Community in Ward 1, Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The campaign visit attracted party chieftains, ward executives, community leaders, youth groups and supporters, providing an opportunity for Ishola, popularly known as Oriyomi Oluyole, to engage residents and discuss his vision for improved representation at the Oyo State House of Assembly.

Speaking at the gathering, Ishola expressed appreciation to party leaders and members for their commitment to the APC, stressing the importance of grassroots consultations in identifying the needs of residents and developing practical solutions to challenges facing communities across Oluyole.

A major highlight of the visit was his disclosure of plans to pursue the provision of electricity transformers and the installation of 50 solar-powered streetlights across the wards. He said the proposed interventions were aimed at improving public safety, supporting local businesses and enhancing the living conditions of residents.

Ishola also emphasised the need for improved community security, noting that infrastructure development must go hand in hand with efforts to create safer neighbourhoods. He assured residents that their concerns would remain central to his agenda for legislative representation.

The APC candidate acknowledged the contributions of Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, member representing Oluyole Federal Constituency, particularly in the areas of legislative representation and constituency projects. The gathering also featured cultural displays and chants from supporters welcoming the campaign team to Ayegun.

He urged party stakeholders and residents to sustain community engagement and unity as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections gather momentum. Ishola maintained that effective representation requires listening to constituents, understanding their priorities and pursuing initiatives that address their needs.

The Ayegun visit forms part of Oriyomi Oluyole’s ongoing campaign tour across Oluyole as he seeks to strengthen grassroots engagement and present his development agenda to residents. The meeting ended with expressions of support for the APC from party members and supporters in attendance.
