IBADAN — It was a scene of heavy hearts and spiritual reflection in Ibadan as popular gospel minister and content creator, Woli Arole, led a high-powered delegation from Friends Fellowship International (FFI) on a condolence visit to the home of the Adegbodu twins.

The visit, aimed at comforting the family following the sudden and shocking transition of Evangelist Taiwo Adegbodu, turned into a moment of deep personal tribute as Arole opened up about the profound impact the duo had on his own spiritual journey.

Visible moved during the session, Woli Arole did not hold back his admiration for the legacy of the twins. Known for their hit songs like Adura Mi Gba and Faratimi, the Adegbodu twins have been a staple in Yoruba gospel music for over two decades—a fact Arole highlighted with deep emotion.

“The Adegbodu twins have shaped a lot of people, especially me, with their highly spiritual songs,” Arole stated. He described the late Taiwo not just as a colleague in the vineyard, but as a source of inspiration whose ministry provided a blueprint for many younger ministers today.

The FFI leadership joined Arole in offering fervent prayers for the surviving twin, Kehinde Adegbodu, the widow, and the children left behind. The atmosphere was one of “godly sorrow,” with the delegation emphasizing that while the physical loss is painful, the spiritual impact of Taiwo’s life remains “evergreen.”

Arole took to his platforms shortly after the visit to urge the global Christian community to rally around the family. “Please let’s keep them in our prayers. God bless the Adegbodu twins!” he pleaded.

The visit comes as preparations reach a fever pitch for the final burial ceremonies of the 46-year-old singer, who reportedly died of a sudden heart attack on March 1st.

The industry is expected to shut down for a massive Artist Night and Tribute on March 30, 2026, at the Bollads Event Centre, Akala Express, followed by the final interment on March 31.

As Woli Arole and the FFI team departed, the message was clear: Taiwo Adegbodu may have finished his race, but his melodies—and the lives he inspired—will sing on forever.
