‘IRETE’: Atinuke Ogungbe Breaks Silence as Segun Reunited with Estranged Wife, Wunmi Ajiboye

Atinuke Ogungbe, the first wife of popular Nollywood producer Segun Ogungbe, has officially reacted to the buzz surrounding her husband’s high-profile reconciliation with his estranged second wife, Wunmi Ajiboye.

The movie industry was set abuzz over the weekend when Segun and Wunmi made a grand joint appearance at the premiere of their new cinematic collaboration, IRETE (The Reckoning). The duo, who had been embroiled in a bitter three-year separation, appeared affectionate and inseparable throughout the event.

While many expected drama following her absence from the glitzy premiere, Atinuke took to her Instagram on Tuesday to show a rare display of maturity and support.

Rather than addressing the viral clips of her husband and co-wife together, she urged her followers to go out and support the new project, which hits cinemas nationwide on March 20, 2026.

“Good morning, my beautiful family. IRETE is a beautiful movie… I need you all to support and show us all the love we need. God bless you all,” she wrote.

The reconciliation comes as a shock to fans who recall the explosive fallout between Segun and Wunmi in 2023. At the time, rumors swirled that the marriage crashed due to financial constraints and allegations of infidelity.

The tension peaked during the burial of Wunmi’s mother, where she famously snubbed Segun while publicly praising MC Oluomo. Wunmi later went as far as claiming they were never legally married, alleging that Segun never paid her bride price and accusing him of various personal misconducts.
