Popular TikTok sensation and streamer, Habeeb Hamzat, famously known as Peller, has been dragged to court by a Lagos-resident, Osarobo Odigie, who is demanding a staggering N395 million in damages.

The legal fireworks follow a viral incident that reportedly occurred in the early hours of January 6, 2026, at the upscale Folixxx Lounge in Lekki, Lagos.

According to a pre-action letter dated March 10, 2026, from the law firm FA Garrick & Co., Odigie was at the lounge to purchase food when she was allegedly startled by a “loud outburst” from the influencer.

The lawyers claim that when their client requested Peller to moderate his volume in the public space, the TikToker aggressively told her to “shut up” and proceeded to rain Yoruba curses and verbal slurs on her.

The situation took a turn for the worse when Peller allegedly used his mobile phone to record the confrontation without Odigie’s consent. The legal team stated that the influencer thereafter published the video on his Snapchat, WhatsApp, TikTok, and Instagram pages, exposing the woman to public ridicule.

“Our client has suffered significant emotional distress and has developed genuine fears for her safety,” the letter read, adding that Peller’s massive following triggered thousands of comments that amplified the defamatory remarks.

Odigie’s legal team is not holding back, demanding a total of N395 million which includes:

While Peller had previously issued an apology on January 9 admitting his reaction was out of character, the claimant’s lawyers have dismissed it as insufficient.

They are now demanding a public apology in two national newspapers and the immediate removal of the content from all platforms. Peller has been given a seven-day ultimatum to comply or face a full-blown trial.
