The “Queen of Afrobeats,” Tiwa Savage, has officially moved from topping charts to building them! In a star-studded gala at The Delborough Lagos on Monday, March 9, 2026, the singer unveiled the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation—a massive rescue mission designed to take African talent from the “trenches” to the world stage.

This isn’t just another celebrity foundation; it’s a high-level academic pipeline. Partnering with the legendary Berklee College of Music, Tiwa is offering a “golden ticket” to 100 lucky African creatives for an intensive four-day bootcamp in Lagos—completely free of charge.

“We don’t lack talent in Nigeria; we have so much of it,” Tiwa declared. “What I want to do is create access so people with talent can find the right infrastructure, education, and a pipeline to the rest of the world.”

The foundation isn’t just looking for singers. It’s targeting the “engine room” of the industry, offering training in:

The stakes are high: Out of the 100 selected participants for the April 23–26 bootcamp, the most outstanding talents will receive full scholarships to Berklee, with the foundation picking up the bill for both tuition and accommodation.

The launch was a “Who’s Who” of Nigerian power and glamour. From Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Mo Abudu to Bose Ogulu (Mama Burna), Toke Makinwa, and Johnny Drille, the support was unanimous. Even banking heavyweights like Adaora Umeoji (Zenith Bank) and Olasupo Olusi (Bank of Industry) were present to witness the “Tiwa Effect.”

Tiwa’s message to aspiring artists was blunt: Use this chance.

“This is the first of many years; even if you don’t get it this year, you will have the chance to prepare for next year,” she advised.

With this move, Tiwa Savage is cementing her legacy as more than just a performer—she is now the architect of the next generation of African music legends.
