Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has once again stirred emotional reactions from fans and colleagues after sharing a series of nostalgic clips featuring his late best friend and colleague, Allwell Ademola.

Months after the sudden passing of the versatile actress, Salami confessed that moving on has been an uphill task, as he finds himself constantly revisiting the memories they shared.

Taking to his Instagram page, the award-winning actor uploaded a touching video of their lighthearted moments behind the scenes, captioned with a deeply personal reflection on his grief.

“Can’t believe all I am left with are videos, memories, and your works,” the actor wrote, adding that while life continues, the void left by her absence remains felt.

The relationship between Rotimi Salami and Allwell Ademola was one of the most celebrated platonic friendships in the Yoruba movie industry. For five consecutive years, the duo reportedly spent every New Year’s Eve together, praying and ushering in the year under the same roof—a tradition that was painfully cut short this year.

In his recent post, Salami admitted that while he is trying to stay strong for his family, particularly his children, the reality of her death is still difficult to process.

Recall that Allwell Ademola passed away on December 27, 2024, after suffering a heart attack at her residence. Her death led to a massive outpouring of grief from the Nollywood community, with a candlelight service held on January 8, 2025, followed by her burial on January 9.

Salami had previously slammed rumors suggesting they were in a romantic relationship, clarifying that she was a mentor and “sister” who played a pivotal role in his career success by introducing him to key industry figures.

Following the latest post, fans have flooded the actor’s comment section with prayers and words of encouragement, urging him to take heart as he preserves the legacy of the late actress.
