Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday revealed that she tracked down and had arrested a woman who secretly filmed her at a Lagos gym, causing a viral body-shaming incident earlier this year.
In the Honest Brunch Podcast, she discussed how the unauthorized video sparked public mockery. After the gym, iFitness, allegedly refused to reveal the woman’s identity, Blessing took matters into her own hands. “I found her. I got her arrested,” she said, expressing anger over the violation of her privacy.
Blessing condemned those who mocked her appearance, defending her natural body against comparisons to those who undergo cosmetic surgery. “You get a BBL, and you’re snapping me, who has a natural body? Are you stupid, sis?” she stated, emphasizing that she dresses for comfort, not to impress.
The secretly filmed video showed her without makeup and visibly tired, leading to widespread online scrutiny and body-shaming, especially in contrast to her polished Instagram photos.
