Unidentified gunmen have attacked the Isapa community in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, kidnapping a pregnant woman, ten children, two nursing mothers, and several others.
Reports indicate that between 20 and 30 armed bandits invaded the community, advancing with a large herd of cattle and firing shots sporadically. During the assault, a stray bullet reportedly struck an elderly woman.
A community leader confirmed to National Pilot that 11 people were abducted, including seven members of the same family.
The individuals who were kidnapped have been identified as follows: Talatu Kabiru, Magaji, Kande, Hadiza, Mariam, Saima, Habibat (a housewife), Fatima Yusufu (a housewife), Sarah Sunday (a pregnant woman), Lami Fidelis (a nursing mother), and Haja Na Allah.
The attackers reportedly escaped through bush paths that connect Eruku to neighboring communities, leaving residents in panic and confusion. This incident occurs barely two weeks after bandits attacked the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), where 38 members were kidnapped, and some reportedly lost their lives during the assault.
