A 58-year-old man named Sesan Olabode has been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre by an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court following allegations of sexually assaulting a teenage girl. Chief Magistrate C. M. Kushanu declined to accept the defendant’s plea and ordered him to remain in custody while awaiting advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions. The case has been adjourned until January 20, 2026.
Olabode, who works as a security guard, is facing charges of sexual assault. According to Prosecutor ASP Adegoke Ademigbuji, the incident occurred in September in the Agege area of Lagos. The prosecutor stated that the defendant allegedly lured the 16-year-old victim into his security post, where he forcibly had sexual intercourse with her and then offered her N2,000 to keep quiet about the incident. However, the girl reported the assault to her mother when she returned home.
