Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, has retracted his commitment to infrastructural development in the state.
Speaking during the presentation of the 2026 budget at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Governor Seyi Makinde addressed the recent protests by people affected by the circular road construction.
Seyi noted that he saw comments on social media where some people mentioned they were frying “akara seyi.” He responded, Ema fi pe enikan l’orun kema fi yo eda, gbogbo wa la n lo. Won ma din akara leyin everybody. È wa be mi nile pe ki wa je governor Oyo state. I came out pe mo fe se nkan fun Oyo state. Gbogbo nkan te n se ni mo ti si mo. Let me say this, I’m not bothered, I’m not bothered,” he concluded.
