The race for the Oyo State Government House has officially shifted into high gear as a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant, Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (popularly known as AKK), has purchased his nomination and expression of interest forms at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

The procurement of the documents, dated April 30, 2026, confirms a total payment of ₦50,000,000. This includes a nomination fee of ₦40,000,000 (Receipt No. 004571) and an expression of interest fee of ₦10,000,000 (Receipt No. 005517).

With the purchase of the forms completed, AKK’s campaign machinery is now scaling up grassroots consultations across the geopolitical zones of Oyo State to build momentum ahead of the party’s primary elections.
