Hon. Dr. Demilade Akin-Alabi attended his ward meeting today, where he announced a series of community-focused initiatives, including cash gifts, plans for an ultra-modern public toilet facility in Oje Market and a ward-by-ward health outreach programme scheduled to commence in November.

His attendance provided an opportunity to interact with ward members, listen to community concerns and outline proposed interventions aimed at improving residents’ welfare and access to essential services.

During the meeting, Dr. Akin-Alabi distributed cash gifts to the youth, men and women in attendance.

The gesture was received as an expression of support for ward members and an opportunity to strengthen engagement at the grassroots level.

The ward Chairman, Alfa Ismail Adegbenla, expressed appreciation to Dr. Akin-Alabi for his kind gesture and concern for members of the ward. He offered prayers for him, asking Almighty God to continue to bless him, strengthen him and reward his efforts with success, good health and fulfilment.

The Chairman’s remarks reflected his appreciation for the support extended to the ward and his hope that continued engagement would bring further benefits to the community.

Dr. Akin-Alabi also announced his intention to build an ultra-modern public toilet facility to improve access to sanitation within the community.

The proposed project is expected to contribute to improved hygiene, environmental cleanliness and public convenience. Access to safe and hygienic sanitation remains an important component of public health and sustainable community development.

Another major announcement was a proposed ward-by-ward health outreach programme expected to commence in November.

The initiative is intended to bring health-related services closer to residents across the wards.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for Alfa Ismail Adegbenla, the ward Chairman, to welcome Dr. (Mrs.) Bisi Akin-Alabi, an educationist and philanthropist who returned to the country a few days ago for political activities.

The Chairman’s welcome acknowledged her return and presence within the local political environment.

Her participation in forthcoming engagements is expected to provide further opportunities for interaction with stakeholders and ward members.
