The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Solidarity Front (BATSOF), FCT Chapter, has officially flagged off its grassroots campaign with the successful inauguration of its FCT campaign team and the investiture of its National Patron.

The ceremony, held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at the Royalton Hotel, Area 2, Garki, Abuja, recorded an impressive turnout, drawing 187 participants against an initial projection of 100. Attendees were drawn from the 62 wards of the FCT, including party leaders, women groups, youth groups, and members of the press.

The event, described as peaceful, well-organized and highly successful, had a dual purpose: to formally inaugurate the FCT campaign structure of BATSOF and to decorate a distinguished personality, Amb. Aminu A. Maijidadi, as National Patron of the group.

In his convener’s address, Hon. Bola Asiru Balogun delivered a powerful speech centred on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He highlighted the achievements of the President in the FCT through the Honourable Minister of the FCT, and charged members to embark on ward-to-ward mobilization to defend, explain and promote the President’s reforms to the grassroots.

A major highlight of the day was the administration of the Oath of Office to the newly inaugurated BATSOF campaign team, whose members are spread across the 62 wards of the FCT. This was followed by the investiture ceremony, where certificates and plaques were presented to the National Patron, Amb. Aminu A. Maijidadi.

The programme also featured goodwill messages, notably from the Zonal Secretary, North Central, Hon. Yakubu Adamu, and various pledges of support for the BATSOF movement were declared on the spot. The FCT Director-General of BATSOF delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating all in attendance.

According to the organizers, the inauguration signals the official commencement of BATSOF’s campaign activities across all 62 wards in the FCT.

At the end of the event, the newly inaugurated executive and members unanimously adopted five key resolutions:

The chapter passed a vote of confidence on His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his bold reforms and commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda; passed a vote of confidence on the Honourable Minister of FCT, Barr. Nyesom Wike, for his transformational work in Abuja and AMAC; endorsed President Tinubu for a second term in 2027 and pledged to deliver massive votes in the FCT; resolved to mobilize voters across the FCT before December 2026 through intensive ward-to-ward sensitization; and resolved to establish Renewed Hope Information Desks in all 62 wards of the FCT to educate citizens on Federal Government programmes.
