Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Lizzy Anjorin-Lawal, has issued a cease-and-desist notice to fellow actress Iyabo Ojo, her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, and over 100 bloggers and social media personalities over alleged defamation and cyberbullying. The notice, dated October 3, 2026, was issued through her lawyers, A.U. Enahoro, Bayo Akinlade and A.U.E. Ogboi. Anjorin is demanding the removal of allegedly defamatory content, a public retraction and an apology from the affected individuals and platforms. According to the notice, she is also demanding ₦50 million in damages from each of the recipients who fail to comply with the demands within seven days. Those reportedly named in the notice include Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla Ojo, Gistlover, Amebohotgist, PauseandponderTV, Alujo TV, Alaroye TV, Tosin Silverdam Media Blog, TVCNewsNg, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Izzy Ogbeide, Miss Debby TV, Germany Boss Lady TV and Esabod Tokunbo Aboderin, among others. Anjorin’s legal team accused the recipients of publishing allegedly false and malicious content about the actress, her family and businesses on social media platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. The lawyers further alleged that some of the publications contained criminal accusations made during live broadcasts without supporting police reports or court judgments. They claimed that the disputed content had exposed their client to public ridicule, damaged her reputation and undermined confidence in her business interests. The legal team gave the recipients seven days to delete the disputed posts, videos, live broadcasts and reposts, publish a retraction and apology with prominence comparable to the original publications, and provide written undertakings against further allegedly defamatory statements. The notice warned that failure to comply could lead to legal action seeking ₦50 million in damages per person, an injunction restraining further publications and recovery of litigation costs. It also threatened petitions to relevant security agencies for investigation and possible prosecution over the alleged conduct. As of the time of filing this report, Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla Ojo and the other parties named had not publicly responded to the notice. The allegations have not been established by a court.
