Babcock University has issued a stern, formal denunciation regarding a fraudulent academic certificate currently circulating on social media, directly linked to popular content creator Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, widely known as Carter Efe. The prestigious institution has moved quickly to protect its reputation, labeling the document—which purports to grant a “First Class Upper” degree in Biochemistry—as entirely fake and unauthorized.

The controversy ignited after Carter Efe shared an image of a document he claimed to be an honorary degree from the “Babcock University Biochemistry Computer Club.” The university has flatly rejected this claim, clarifying that it does not issue honorary certificates for undergraduate performance, nor does it recognize the terminology “First Class Upper.” According to the school, the only legitimate classification for top-tier academic achievement is “First Class Honours,” and such recognition is exclusively provided through formal degree certificates and transcripts issued directly by the Office of the Registrar.

In an uncompromising statement, the university has warned the public, employers, and government agencies to disregard any such forged documents. Babcock has made it clear that it is prepared to pursue both civil and criminal legal action against anyone involved in the creation, distribution, or presentation of these fraudulent credentials, emphasizing that the integrity of its academic records is non-negotiable.
