In a powerful display of party cohesion ahead of the 2027 general elections, prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholder Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem, popularly known as AKK, on Friday joined the Oyo State APC governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, at a special Jumat Victory Service.

The political allies, surrounded by scores of enthusiastic party faithful, observed the thanksgiving prayer session at the Bodija Housing Central Mosque in Ibadan to return glory to God following the outcome of the party’s primary election.

Reacting immediately after the solemn spiritual session, Dr. Kareem emphasized that the gathering was strictly about expressing unalloyed appreciation to the Almighty Allah, whom he described as the absolute beginning and the end of all human endeavors. He stressed that the success recorded at the gubernatorial primary election serves a larger purpose than mere political triumph, noting that it is a foundational step toward securing a prosperous future for the state.

According to him, returning all glory to God for standing by the team during the rigorous process is paramount. He maintained that the ultimate victory is aimed at building a much better environment and a guaranteed future for the good people of Oyo State. He further urged stakeholders to view the road ahead as a collaborative mission, insisting that transforming the state will require a collective assignment and journey where everyone must work in tandem to make Oyo State great.

While extending his formal congratulations to Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli on his official emergence, Dr. Kareem prayed that Almighty Allah continues to bless, guide, and lead the flagbearer through the upcoming campaign trail.

Political analysts observing the post-primary dynamics in the state capital note that this public show of unity and mutual support between key party figures significantly solidifies Senator Alli’s grassroots backing and positions the APC as a highly coordinated front ahead of the main governorship battle.
