The re-election machinery of Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, shifted into high gear on Wednesday with the official inauguration of the Imole Campaign Council, a 52-member strategic body tasked with securing a second term for the administration.

The inauguration, held amidst high spirits in the state capital, was marked by a notable cross-border political alignment that captured the attention of observers. Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat, the Executive Chairman of Agidigbo 88.7 FM and a prominent Accord Party governorship aspirant from Oyo State, was sighted among the top dignitaries, joining Governor Adeleke to witness the unveiling of the campaign structure. The presence of the influential broadcaster and activist underscores the growing regional influence of the “Imole” movement and hints at strategic alliances forming within the South-West political corridor ahead of the 2026/2027 electoral cycle.

Addressing the newly formed council and thousands of volunteers, Governor Adeleke emphasized that the campaign would be driven by “verifiable evidence” rather than empty rhetoric. The Governor outlined an aggressive “door-to-door and site-to-site” strategy designed to take the message of continuity directly to markets, businesses, and social media platforms.

“We didn’t just promise; we delivered. Every project and every kobo spent is laid bare for all to see. The new Osun is our evidence,” the Governor declared. He maintained that the campaign season would focus on the “love and sacrifice” shown to the people over the last four years, urging the council to remain grassroots-focused.

The 52-man council is expected to coordinate the thousands of volunteers already mobilized across the state’s 30 local government areas. By bringing in allies like Oriyomi Hamzat from neighboring Oyo State, the Adeleke camp appears to be building a formidable multi-party network aimed at consolidating the “Imole” legacy in Osun and beyond.

With the campaign council now active and cross-border endorsements trickling in, political activities in the state are expected to reach a fever pitch, setting the stage for a rigorous contest as the August 8, 2026, governorship election draws closer.
