The crisis rocking the Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken a fresh dimension as the INEC-recognized state chairman, Professor Akinosho, warned that members loyal to Governor Seyi Makinde risk becoming “party-less”. Speaking on the program “The Agenda” on Dominion TV, Akinosho emphasized that the window for official membership registration is closing rapidly. Professor Akinosho revealed that the party is currently conducting its membership registration strictly online. He described Wike as a “worthy leader” and maintained that serving in the current administration is a national call to service. Akinosho insisted that his leadership is the only one with a legitimate lifeline for the 2027 general elections. He revealed a scheduled primary election timetable starting May 2, 2026, for the House of Assembly and culminating in the presidential primary on May 23, 2026.
