Nollywood sensation Nkechi Blessing Sunday, popularly known as NBS, has opened up about the spiritual foundation of her success, declaring that her rise to stardom and survival in the competitive film industry are due entirely to divine grace.

In a series of candid reflections shared on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the actress stated that she is “nothing without God,” attributing her biggest life decisions and career milestones to her faith.

Blessing’s comments come on the heels of a “life-changing” business deal she recently signed. While she revealed the agreement was originally slated for February, she noted that “the devil did his thing,” causing a delay. However, she maintained that “delay wasn’t denial,” expressing tears of joy that the deal eventually came to fruition through what she described as God’s perfect timing.

The actress also touched upon the emotional toll of maintaining a brand in the public eye. Reacting to alleged attempts by detractors to tarnish her reputation, NBS broke down in tears, reminding her followers that she is human with “blood running through her veins.” She firmly dismissed rumors regarding her lifestyle, asserting that she does not rely on men for her livelihood but on her hard work and divine favor.

Beyond her personal faith, the actress offered a grim look at the economic challenges facing modern filmmakers. Late last year, she expressed a desire to quit producing after claiming to have invested over N80 million into movies without seeing a return of even N1 million.

She also took a stand against industry colleagues who charge exorbitant fees for acting roles but refuse to use their platforms to promote the final projects. Blessing vowed to take a strict stance against such behavior, emphasizing that mutual support is essential for the industry to thrive.

Despite these professional frustrations, the actress remains deeply grateful for the journey that began with her breakout role in Mercy Aigbe’s Omoge Lekki. By crediting Aigbe for “seeing the star” in her and allowing her to shine, Blessing highlighted the importance of mentorship and opportunity in an industry where she believes God continues to be her ultimate director
