What was supposed to be a sacred cultural celebration has instead sparked a national outrage. The Delta State Police Command didn’t just knock—they kicked the door down. In a massive sting operation, they arrested the festival’s mastermind, Chief Omorede Sunday, along with four of his “inner circle” associates.

The Commissioner of Police, Aina Adesola, was visibly livid when the reports hit his desk. He didn’t mince words, calling the acts “criminal, inhumane, and a grave violation of the fundamental rights and dignity of victims.”

“Culture is not a license for assault,” the CP signaled. He has officially declared war on anyone who thinks a traditional title is a shield for predatory behavior.

This isn’t just a local police matter anymore. The Police PRO, Bright Edafe, confirmed that the big guns are out. The case has been snatched from local stations and handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).

The Command is making a desperate plea to the sisters of Ozoro: “Do not be afraid.” They are calling on victims and witnesses to come forward, promising that every tip will be handled with “strict confidentiality” and “the highest level of professionalism
