“I Learned from the Best”—Priscilla Ojo Honors Mom Iyabo Ojo on Her First Mother’s Day

LAGOS — It was a beautiful moment of “like mother, like daughter” as Priscilla Ojo celebrated her very first Mother’s Day today.

The new mom shared adorable photos of her son, Prince Rakeem, and her famous mother, Iyabo Ojo, thanking the veteran actress for showing her the ropes of motherhood.

In a touching post, Priscilla made it clear that her mother is her biggest inspiration. She noted that the love she gives her son today is exactly what she received from Iyabo growing up.

“Happy Mother’s Day to me and the best mom in the world,” she wrote. “Thank you for pouring so much love into us; that’s how I’m able to pour into my son, too.”

It’s been an exciting journey for Priscilla since she and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux welcomed their baby boy, Rakeem, in August 2025. Just recently, she shared her excitement as the little one reached his 6-month milestone—already sitting, crawling, and even calling her “Mama.”

The “latest grandma,” Iyabo Ojo, is already predicting more grandchildren! She teased on Snapchat that the couple is so inseparable she wouldn’t be surprised if another baby arrived soon. Juma Jux also recently joked that Rakeem needs siblings “immediately.”

From their lavish six-part wedding last year to their new life as parents, the Ojo and Mkambala family continue to be the talk of the town.
