The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has issued a warning regarding a recall of Indomie Vegetable Flavour noodles sold in France due to undeclared milk and egg ingredients, which pose allergy risks.
NAFDAC clarified that this recall does not involve Indomie noodles produced in Nigeria. The affected products were recalled by France’s food safety authority, Rappel Conso, after laboratory tests revealed the presence of allergens not listed on the label. The recall impacts all batches with a best-before date of February 6, 2026.
Although Nigeria has banned noodle imports, NAFDAC cautioned that the recalled product could still enter the country through illegal means. “Increased vigilance is essential to prevent illicit circulation of the affected Indomie brand,” the agency stated.
To ensure safety, NAFDAC has instructed its teams to monitor for the product and seize it if found. Consumers are advised to remain alert, discard any recalled noodles, and report sightings or allergic reactions to NAFDAC offices or via their toll-free number: 0800-162-3322.
