The Kano State High Court is hearing the case of Ayuba Sani, charged with murdering Ibrahim Dan Larai in Tumfafi town last year. Sani reportedly stabbed Larai in the neck during a dispute over being awakened for dawn prayers, despite previous warnings to stop.
During the hearing on Thursday, the state prosecutor, Barrister Amina Uba, called two witnesses, ASP Cindu Cuwa and Inspector Buhari, who provided testimony about the investigation. Both witnesses were subsequently discharged, bringing the total number of prosecution witnesses to three.
