David Oyedepo, founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, has condemned the recent terrorist attack on the Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, Kwara State, and the abduction of over 300 schoolchildren from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Niger State.
During the 4th Pre-Shiloh Encounter Service, Oyedepo emphasized that Nigeria will not become an Islamic state, declaring, “The church of Christ in Nigeria is indestructible. The gates of hell cannot prevail against it. The Islamic jihadists are on the run, but we belong to a higher authority.”
He criticized the attack on CAC Eruku, where five people were killed, and highlighted that thirty-five abductees are still missing with their kidnappers demanding a hundred million naira from the community. He stated, “Every perpetrator of these killings and their sponsors will face consequences.”
Oyedepo called for midnight prayers to combat the ongoing insecurity, insisting, “Every act of violence against the church will be judged.” He concluded, “Do not politicize human lives. Saying there is no genocide is irresponsible. Fifty-two children were abducted from a Catholic school. This situation must be addressed.”
