2027: Akin-Alabi backs Alli, says APC candidate has what it takes to govern Oyo

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, and the convener of the BSA Vanguard Hon Dr. Demilade Akin-Alabi, has congratulated the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, on obtaining the Independent National Electoral Commission form ahead of the 2027 general election.

Hon Dr Demilade Akin-Alabi described the development as a major milestone in the quest to return the APC to power in Oyo State, expressing confidence in the ability of the lawmaker to provide purposeful and inclusive leadership.

In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen on Tuesday, the APC stalwart said Alli remained the most suitable candidate for the state’s top job, citing his experience, political maturity and track record in public service.

According to him, the senator possesses the required competence and all-round leadership qualities needed to steer the affairs of Oyo State and deliver good governance to the people.

He said, “Senator Sharafadeen Alli is the man for the job. He is a leader with all-round qualities, vast experience and an unwavering commitment to the progress of our dear state. He understands the needs of the people and has consistently demonstrated the capacity to lead with wisdom, fairness and integrity.

“There is no doubt that his emergence as our governorship candidate offers renewed hope for a better and more prosperous Oyo State. He has paid his dues in politics and public service, and he remains well positioned to take the state to greater heights.”

Dr Demilade further noted that Alli’s political journey and contributions to democratic development had earned him respect across party lines, adding that his leadership style had continued to inspire confidence among party faithful and the electorate.

He urged members of the APC to remain united and committed to the collective vision of securing victory at the 2027 governorship poll, stressing that cohesion and grassroots mobilisation would be critical to the party’s success.

The APC chieftain also called on residents of the state to support the aspiration of the governorship candidate, expressing optimism that Alli would provide responsive leadership capable of addressing the developmental needs of the people.

He prayed for divine guidance, strength and good health for the senator as he embarks on what he described as a crucial mission to reposition Oyo State for sustainable growth and development.
