The Nigerian community and the global Muslim Ummah are in mourning following the passing of a dedicated community leader and philanthropist, Alhaji Teslim Ajimobi. Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem, a former Oyo State gubernatorial aspirant and leader of the Wabillahi Taofeeq Islamic Mission Worldwide, has released a poignant tribute honoring the life, faith, and enduring legacy of his long-time friend and colleague.

Describing the news of the passing as a source of profound sadness and personal loss, Dr. Kareem reflected on a decades-long brotherhood rooted in mutual respect and a shared commitment to Islamic service. The two leaders famously collaborated during their time at the Dhiyah Haq Islamic Society of Nigeria, UK Branch, where Alhaji Ajimobi served two distinguished terms as President, fostering unity and growth within the diaspora community.

In his touching memorial, Dr. Kareem recounted the warmth of their final telephone conversation held during his recent international tour. Though they had made sincere plans to reunite in person, the inevitable decree of Allah intervened, turning that final exchange into an unexpected farewell. Dr. Kareem expressed deep gratitude for that last dialogue, noting that it remains a cherished memory defined by their shared dedication to the progress of Islam and the well-being of their people.

He remembered the late Alhaji Ajimobi as a paragon of integrity and humility who viewed leadership as a sacred trust. Beyond his administrative accomplishments, the late leader was celebrated for his wisdom and his unwavering commitment to humanitarian efforts, leaving a void that will be keenly felt by his family, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the wider Nigerian diaspora.

Dr. Kareem extended his heartfelt condolences to the Ajimobi family, the leadership of Dhiyah Haq Islamic Society, and the global Muslim community. Offering prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased, he emphasized that while death may remove a person from physical presence, it cannot diminish the lasting impact of a life devoted to righteousness. He concluded with a prayer for the departed to be granted the highest station in paradise, Jannatul Firdaus, and for strength for those left behind to bear the irreparable loss.
