Popular Nigerian content creator and skitmaker, Kemi Ikuseedun, well known as Mummy Wa, has sparked conversations online after opening up about her relationship status and why she remains single at the age of 30.

The comedienne revealed that her prolonged singlehood stems from a habit she claims is highly prevalent among females: falling deeply in love with fictional characters from movies rather than real-life men.

Speaking in a recent video broadcast, Mummy Wa confessed that her emotional attachment to on-screen personalities has created a major roadblock for her real-life romantic endeavors. She noted that this phenomenon is not unique to her, but is a silent struggle shared by a large number of women who find themselves trapped in romantic fantasies created by the film industry.

“The reason why I am still single is because I went to go and fall in love with a fictional character. And it is not only me, a lot of women fall for fictional characters. But where are we going to see him?” she asked.

Elaborating on her dilemma, the skitmaker confessed to having a long-standing crush on South Korean superstar Lee Min Ho, particularly his character in the hit drama series Boys Over Flowers. She expressed concern that real-life standards might never match up to script-written perfection, leaving her caught between fantasy and reality.

“I am almost 30, and I am still waiting for Lee Min Ho. What if I meet Lee Min Ho in real life and he is not the same as the person in ‘Boys Over Flowers’? Honestly, I am still single because it is only fictional characters I keep falling for,” she stated.
