The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the arrest of Hon. Emmanuel Odiniya, father of the Big Brother Naija “All Stars” winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, following a domestic violence incident that sparked widespread concern across social media.

The arrest followed a distressing Instagram Live session on Friday night, where the reality television star was seen crying for help. In the viral footage, Ilebaye appeared to be under physical assault, prompting fans and observers to alert the authorities.

Responding to the development, the Police Public Relations Officer for the FCT, SP Josephine Adeh, disclosed in a statement on Saturday that a distress call was received at approximately midnight from the Royal Anchor Estate in the Wuye area of Abuja. A patrol team from the Wuye Division, supported by operatives from the Department of Operations, was immediately dispatched to the residence.

According to the police spokesperson, officers faced an initial delay as the gate to the compound was locked. Access was eventually gained at about 2:30 a.m., leading to the rescue of Ms. Ilebaye and her brothers. The police confirmed that the celebrity was found with visible physical injuries and was immediately transported to the NNPC Hospital in Abuja for medical treatment.

SP Adeh stated that Hon. Emmanuel Odiniya is currently in police custody as investigators work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the violent encounter. The Command emphasized its commitment to addressing domestic violence and ensuring the safety of citizens within the capital territory.

This incident has elicited strong reactions from the public, with many calling for a thorough investigation into the safety of the reality star and her siblings. As of the time of this report, Ilebaye remains under medical observation, while her father awaits further legal proceedings.
