In a revealing session on Fresh FM’s Political Circuit anchored by Isaac Brown, APC gubernatorial aspirant Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK) has redefined the stakes of the upcoming election by disclosing a nearly ₦1 billion commitment to his political structure. The Australian-based educationist dismissed any suggestion that his massive expenditure is an investment for personal gain, asserting that his entry into politics is a call to service driven by philanthropic conviction.

Dr. Kareem, a seasoned school leader with the New South Wales Department of Education, emphasized that his financial independence allows him to focus entirely on the welfare of the people. “My salary in Australia is far bigger than the salary of a senator,” he told the veteran broadcaster, noting that he has already invested heavily in the state through the construction of three schools and a central mosque valued at over ₦1 billion in today’s market.

During the broadcast, AKK detailed an “evidence-based” governance model for Oyo State, anchored on a 20-point agenda that prioritizes educational reform and a localized credit-scoring system. This innovative financial model aims to provide citizens with equal opportunities to access capital without the barrier of traditional collateral.

Despite his significant personal investment in the APC structure across all 33 local governments, Dr. Kareem maintained a stance of absolute party loyalty. He confirmed holding high-level “father-to-son” consultations with party leadership and vowed to abide by the party’s ultimate decision, stressing that his ambition is fueled by a desire for progress rather than a desperate thirst for power.
