The race for the Oke-Mosan Government House in 2027 gained significant momentum as the Ketu Intelligentsia Forum (KIF) formally threw its weight behind Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, popularly known as GNI, describing him as the most qualified successor to Governor Dapo Abiodun.

In a high-stakes political declaration released in the state capital, the KIF—a collective of academics, private sector titans, and seasoned administrators—declared that their endorsement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain followed a “cold, clinical assessment” of the state’s future needs. The group emphasized that their decision was not rooted in sentiment or regional bias but in a strategic necessity to maintain the development trajectory of the Gateway State.

The Forum, through a statement signed by its Chairman, Dr. Ayilara Ayinla Muraina, and other executive members, noted that Ogun State requires a leader with a “Knowledge-First” approach to navigate the complexities of a volatile global economy. They highlighted Isiaka’s deep institutional experience, noting that his background in the private sector and his previous roles in state economic management mean he would require no learning curve to manage the state’s machinery effectively.

Beyond technical competence, the group lauded the candidate’s persistence and resilience, characterizing his long-standing ambition as a marathon of conviction rather than a fleeting grab for power. They further described him as the embodiment of the “Omoluabi” ethos, citing his calm and inclusive approach as a refreshing alternative to the “iron-handed” politics often seen in the modern era.

While acknowledging the “fruitful tenure” of Governor Dapo Abiodun, which is set to conclude in May 2027, the KIF maintained that Isiaka is the most capable of safeguarding the commonwealth as a sacred trust. The Forum specifically pointed to his granular understanding of the state’s macro-economic potential, particularly regarding industrial hubs and border economies, as a key factor that would ensure wealth reaches the household level across all three senatorial districts.

The statement, which was also endorsed by Prince Sola Bamigbade, Secretary-General, and Mr. AbdLateef Olusoji-Emilandu, Director of Strategy and Mobilisation, concluded with a passionate call to all well-meaning leaders and citizens of Ogun State to adopt Isiaka’s candidacy. The group stressed that the movement is driven by a vision for a state defined by progress, character, and data-driven governance.
