Sensational Nigerian singer and songwriter, Bukola Elemide, popularly known as Asa, has been thrown into a state of deep mourning following the sudden passage of her beloved mother.

The “Jailer” crooner, who is known for keeping her private life away from the prying eyes of social media, broke the heartbreaking news on her Instagram page on Tuesday evening, March 24.

According to the internationally acclaimed star, her mother’s death was sudden and “without warning,” caused by a battle with a brain tumor.

“A sudden brain tumor came without warning and took you too soon. You were generous. The kindest soul.”
