Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has issued a stern warning to fans and the general public to stop recording her and her partner secretly when they are out in public.

The outspoken movie star, who recently went public about being in a “very happy relationship,” took to her Instagram page to express her frustration over what she described as a “disrespectful” invasion of her privacy.

According to the actress, she is intentionally keeping her current relationship off social media to enjoy it privately—a boundary she claims some fans are determined to cross.

Recounting a recent encounter at a restaurant, Nkechi revealed how a waitress alerted her to a woman who was filming her and her man without their consent.

“I walked up to her and said politely, ‘Ma’am, I find it very disrespectful of you making videos of me and my man without our consent.’ It doesn’t make sense. Yes, I am a public figure, I am in your faces. If you wanted a picture or a video, walk up to me. I don’t bite,” she stated.

The actress warned that while she tries to be polite, she will not hesitate to take drastic measures if the trend continues. She emphasized that her partner has no desire for the spotlight and should be respected as a private individual.

“The next time you see me and my man outside, please keep your phones. Because guess what? I will break it. Can you see how soft I said that? Because I know my man will fight. This man does not want to be out there,” she warned.

Nkechi Blessing, whose past relationships have often played out loudly on the internet, seems to be taking a new approach with her current partner. She pleaded with fans to respect her new “off-media” lifestyle, insisting that unsolicited recordings could lead to heated confrontations and the destruction of gadgets.

“He’s not ashamed to go out with me. So why do you think it is you that is supposed to put our pictures and our videos out there?” she queried.
