By Our Correspondent Tragedy struck a family in the Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State on Christmas Day when a distraught father, identified as Promise Samuel, announced the sudden death of his nine-month-old identical twin sons, Timothy and Testimony. Gistlife gathered that the infants passed away barely 24 hours after receiving routine immunisation at the Ajangbadi Primary Health Centre in the Ojo area of the state. The heartbreaking incident, which has since sparked outrage online, was brought to light on Wednesday after the bereaved father shared his ordeal via a series of videos on his TikTok handle, promise.samuel099. Samuel, who is demanding a thorough investigation, alleged that his children were victims of medical negligence, suspecting that the vaccines administered were either expired, fake, or given in excessive dosages. According to the father, the twins were taken to the health facility on the morning of December 24, 2025, for their scheduled immunisation. He noted that the boys, who were hale and hearty prior to the visit, began to show signs of severe weakness immediately after the injections. Narrating the traumatic event, Samuel explained that despite following the nurse’s instructions to administer paracetamol to manage their temperature, the children’s condition deteriorated rapidly. They reportedly lost their appetite, became lethargic, and died in the early hours of December 25. He said, “It happened that the immunisation was conducted on the 24th of December, in the morning. And in the morning of 25th December, they died. On that 24th, after the injection, they were very weak. “My wife and I, after we left the health centre, went home and gave the two of them paracetamol because the nurse said that if the temperature continued, I should give them paracetamol. We even bathed them in cold water. “They died on the 25th. The two of them died at the same time. The worst part is that the drug weakened them to the extent that they couldn’t talk, eat, or play as usual.” The grieving father lamented that his decision to fulfill “all righteousness” regarding his children’s health had turned into a nightmare. He insisted that the twins had no prior history of illness since birth. “I’m just confused. How can I lose two children, identical twins that I have suffered so much for? Just nine months, they were not sick. I decided to take them to that place, not because they were sick, but to immunise them properly. From the first day I gave birth to them, I’ve been taking them for immunisation,” he cried out. As of the time of filing this report, the Lagos State Government and the management of the Ajangbadi Primary Health Centre have yet to issue an official statement regarding the allegations.
