IBADAN — Concerned youths in Oyo State have reacted to the suit seeking the disqualification of all Accord Party candidates in the 2027 general elections, calling on Adebukola Ajaja to reconsider her position and support Oriyomi Hamzat. The youths, expressing their displeasure over the development, declared that any attempt to frustrate Oriyomi Hamzat’s political ambition would not succeed, insisting that he enjoys the love and support of many people across the state. “Ajaja, your evil plan won’t work; Oriyomi is chosen,” the concerned youths declared in their reaction to the legal action. They urged Ajaja to desist from actions they believe could undermine the party’s preparations for the 2027 elections, appealing to her to embrace unity and work towards the collective interest of the party. The youths maintained that Oriyomi Hamzat remains a popular figure among his supporters, expressing confidence in his political future and declaring their belief that he would emerge as the next governor of Oyo State in 2027. They further called on party stakeholders to resolve their differences through dialogue and lawful means rather than allowing internal disputes to disrupt the party’s electoral plans. The reaction followed a suit reportedly filed by Ajaja at the Federal High Court in Abuja, challenging the process through which Accord Party candidates’ documents were submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
