Hon. Barrister Lawal Akeem Ishola, popularly known as Oriyomi Oluyole, has visited Ward 04 at Muslim Grammar School in Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State to seek prayers, blessings and support ahead of a proposed ward-to-ward consultation tour across the constituency.

The visit, which brought together community leaders, elders, youths and women, was described as part of Ishola’s efforts to strengthen his relationship with constituents and consult his immediate political base before extending his engagements to other wards.

According to his media aide, Aluta Networking, the meeting was not organised for political fanfare but as a courtesy visit to reconnect with the people and seek their goodwill ahead of the planned constituency-wide tour.

The visit reflected the Yoruba adage, “Ile ni a ti n ko eso re ode,” which underscores the importance of beginning at home before extending one’s activities elsewhere.

Addressing members of the ward, Ishola emphasised the importance of maintaining close ties with the people, noting that grassroots engagement and community support remained important considerations in his political activities.

The gathering provided an opportunity for residents to interact with the politician, express their expectations and offer prayers for his aspirations and future programmes.

Community members who attended the meeting welcomed the visit and described Ishola as a son of the area who had maintained a relationship with his immediate community. They also pledged their support for his political ambition and expressed expectations that he would continue to engage with them on issues affecting their welfare.

The Ward 04 meeting is expected to precede consultations with other wards across the Oluyole constituency in the coming days.

During the proposed tour, Ishola is expected to meet with community leaders, residents and other stakeholders to discuss local concerns, strengthen existing relationships and seek their input on matters affecting the constituency.

The initiative, according to his media aide, forms part of his broader engagement with the grassroots, with the Ward 04 visit serving as the starting point for the planned consultations.

The tour is expected to focus on dialogue, unity and inclusive representation as Ishola continues his engagements with constituents across Oluyole.
