Arapaja’s Grassroots Network Gains Fresh Momentum as Iseyin Team Declares Unalloyed Support

The growing political structure of Ambassador Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja recorded another significant development Wednesday 30 September 2026 as members of Team Arapaja in Iseyin Local Government Area formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The delegation, led by Hon. Ajeigbe Akeem Adeniyi and Prince Agunloye Gbemisola, was received into the APC fold by the APC Local Government Chairman, Hon. Ogunleke Anthony Bayo, in the presence of the former Commissioner, Hon. Dauda Azuzu, alongside other party stakeholders.

The development further underscores the expanding reach of Arapaja’s political network across Oyo State, particularly in the Oke-Ogun axis, where grassroots mobilisation and political consultations have continued to intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the reception, the Team Arapaja coordinator in Iseyin declared the group’s unalloyed support for Ambassador Arapaja, stressing that their commitment to his political direction remains total.

The coordinator said the decision to align with the APC was part of the team’s determination to work with Arapaja and other progressive forces toward a new political direction in the state.

Azuzu Hails Arapaja’s Political Strength

Former Commissioner Hon. Dauda Azuzu also commended Ambassador Arapaja’s political influence and grassroots connections, recalling that his political strength did not begin today.

According to Azuzu, Arapaja’s ability to connect with people at the grassroots has been evident since his days as Deputy Governor of Oyo State, describing his current mobilisation across the state as a continuation of a political relationship that has existed for decades.

“Arapaja’s strength is not something that started today. I have known his political capacity from his days as Deputy Governor. His connection with the grassroots has always been there, and what we are witnessing today is another expression of that political strength,” Azuzu said.

He noted that the growing number of political actors and groups identifying with Arapaja demonstrates the importance of grassroots engagement and long-standing political relationships.

The development in Iseyin comes amid broader political realignments across Oyo State ahead of 2027, with Arapaja and his political associates increasingly engaging stakeholders and groups across different local government areas.
