APC Oluyole Assembly Candidate Urges Students to Believe in Their Dreams, Greatness

Barrister Lawal Akeem Ishola, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Oluyole State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has urged students to reject the mindset of impossibility and believe strongly in their ability to achieve greatness.

Ishola gave the charge when he featured as the Special Guest of Honour at an event organised by the Federation of Oyo State Student Union, Obafemi Awolowo University chapter, where he delivered a special lecture to the students.

Speaking at the event, the legal practitioner and politician admonished the students not to allow their background, circumstances or challenges to limit their ambitions.

He encouraged them to develop a mindset of success, stressing that there is no legitimate height they cannot attain with determination, discipline and perseverance.

Using his personal journey as an example, Ishola disclosed that he became the first lawyer in his family before venturing into politics, urging the students to see his experience as proof that individuals can break barriers and achieve their dreams.

He said the students should never allow the word “impossible” to dictate the boundaries of their aspirations.

“Believe in yourself and believe that you will be great. Do not allow anybody to convince you that there is something you cannot achieve. Everything is possible when you are determined and committed to your dream,” he admonished.

The event also featured the presentation of bursaries to students, as part of efforts to support their academic pursuits and contribute to their educational development.

Another major highlight was the presentation of a special award to Barrister Lawal Ishola in recognition of his participation and contribution to the student community.

The gathering brought together students and other stakeholders, with discussions focusing on education, leadership, personal development and the importance of empowering young people to pursue their aspirations.
