Residents of Lagos witnessed an unusual display of worship and evangelism as the Mass Choir of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), in collaboration with Region One, staged a massive gospel rally across major parts of the state ahead of the church’s 74th Annual Convention. The outreach, tagged “Trek for Jesus”, was led by the RCCG Intercontinental Music Director, Pastor Kunle Ajayi, alongside Region One under the leadership of Pastor Dele Balogun, SATGO (Admin), drawing hundreds of worshippers who filled the streets with songs of praise, prayers and the message of salvation. The rally moved through Ebute-Metta, Oyingbo, Ojuelegba, Moshalashi and Western Avenue, among other locations, transforming busy roads into vibrant centres of worship as motorists, traders and pedestrians paused to witness the colourful procession. With drums beating, voices lifted in praise and worshippers dancing in celebration, the procession created an atmosphere of revival, serving as a spiritual build-up to RCCG’s 74th Annual Convention, themed “Mountain Movers,” scheduled to hold from August 3 to August 9, 2026. At strategic points along the route, the music gave way to evangelism as Pastor Dele Balogun and other ministers preached the gospel, calling on people to embrace Christ and reaffirming the church’s commitment to soul-winning. One of the major highlights of the rally was the inspiring ministration of Pastor Kunle Ajayi, whose saxophone performance drew large crowds. His blend of music and worship attracted onlookers, many of whom joined the procession in praise and worship. The outreach eventually concluded at the Redemption City, where participants expressed gratitude to God for a successful evangelistic campaign and renewed their expectation for the forthcoming convention. Church leaders described the rally as more than a musical procession, saying it was a public declaration of faith and a demonstration of the church’s unwavering commitment to taking the gospel beyond the four walls of the church. Quoting Romans 1:16, they reaffirmed that they were “not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,” expressing confidence that the upcoming convention would usher in divine encounters and testimonies in line with its theme, “Mountain Movers.” Post navigation Demilade Akin-Alabi launches DAA-da Foundation, unveils anti-poverty initiative AARE MUSULUMI OF YORUBALAND MOURNS THE PASSING OF OLOYE LEKAN ALABI
