The Prayer and Support for Nigerian Armed Forces and Security Agencies (PSNAFSA) has applauded the successful rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers from Oyo State after 56 days in captivity, describing the operation as a testament to the effectiveness of coordinated security efforts and national unity. In a statement signed by its Convener, Ambassador Mary Abayomi-Fatile, the group commended the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, intelligence agencies, local hunters, community vigilantes, and patriotic citizens whose collaboration contributed to the safe return of the victims. PSNAFSA reserved special praise for the Nigerian Navy Special Boat Service (SBS), the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Panthers, and the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) Tactical Team, describing them as elite formations whose professionalism, courage, and operational excellence ensured the success of the rescue mission. According to the group, the operation demonstrates the strength of inter-agency cooperation and reaffirms the capacity of Nigeria’s security architecture to respond effectively to complex security threats when institutions work together with a common objective. The organisation noted that the safe rescue of the pupils and teachers has brought relief and renewed hope to their families and Nigerians who closely followed the incident, while describing the development as a victory for resilience, professionalism, and collective determination to protect innocent lives. PSNAFSA further praised the gallantry of security personnel across the country, saying the successful operation reflects the daily sacrifices made by officers and men who continue to risk their lives in defence of Nigeria’s territorial integrity and the protection of citizens. The group also acknowledged the critical contributions of local hunters, vigilante groups, and members of the public who provided intelligence and supported security operations, stressing that lasting success against criminality can only be achieved through stronger collaboration between security agencies and communities. While celebrating the rescue, the organisation expressed sadness over the death of one of the teachers during the incident, praying for the peaceful repose of the deceased and divine comfort for the bereaved family, colleagues, and the entire school community. PSNAFSA urged Nigerians to sustain their support for the Armed Forces, the Police, and other security agencies by remaining vigilant, volunteering credible intelligence, and praying for personnel engaged in frontline operations against insecurity. The group equally called on the Federal Government to strengthen the nation’s security architecture through improved funding, modern equipment, enhanced logistics, actionable intelligence, and better welfare packages for security personnel to enable them confront evolving security challenges more effectively. It also offered prayers for divine protection, wisdom, courage, and success for security operatives in all lawful operations, expressing hope that every Nigerian still being held captive in different parts of the country would soon regain freedom. Reaffirming its confidence in Nigeria’s security forces, PSNAFSA encouraged the agencies not to relent until all hostages are rescued, criminal networks dismantled, and communities across the country are able to live, learn, work, and worship in peace. The statement concluded with prayers for the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, other security agencies, local hunters, community vigilantes, patriotic citizens, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
