Following the formal recognition of key national officers by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Hon. Opeyemi Fatola, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ibadan South West/Ibadan North West Federal Constituency, has called for a comprehensive reconciliation process to solidify the party’s standing ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Fatola hailed the update of the commission’s records—confirming Prince Odeyemi Mackson Oladiran as National Treasurer and Eyim Donatus Hentry as National Financial Secretary—as a landmark achievement that reinforces the party’s administrative integrity. According to the federal constituency hopeful, this official validation serves as the perfect catalyst for unity, effectively clearing the path for the party to focus entirely on its primary goal: securing victory at the polls.

Viewing the development as a “win for the party from top to bottom,” Hon. Fatola issued a heartfelt appeal to all aggrieved members to return home and rejoin the collective mission. He argued that the resolution of leadership ambiguities now provides a stable platform for all factions to settle their differences, stating that a house united is essential for the electoral dominance the party aspires to in 2027.

The legislative candidate further praised the visionary leadership of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the consistent political efforts of the Oyo State PDP gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi. He credited these leaders with steering the party through recent challenges and expressed his confidence that their combined influence, paired with a unified membership, makes the prospect of victory in the upcoming electoral cycle a certainty.

Congratulating the newly recognized officers, Hon. Fatola characterized their appointments as a profound call to service that demands the utmost transparency and dedication. As he campaigns for his seat in the Federal House of Representatives, Fatola continues to position reconciliation as the bedrock of his platform, insisting that the PDP’s strength will not be found in divisions, but in the unwavering solidarity of its faithful.
