“After 12 Years of Political Struggle, My Dream Is Finally Becoming Reality” Oyepeju. The Accord Party candidate for Oluyole Federal Constituency, Oloye Ambassador Ademola Oyepeju Ara, has expressed profound gratitude to party leaders, supporters, family members, and political associates following his emergence as the party’s flag bearer for the forthcoming election. In a heartfelt message released shortly after the party’s primary election, Oyepeju described his victory as the fulfillment of a long-awaited political aspiration that had spanned more than a decade. According to him, despite enjoying massive grassroots support over the years, opportunities to contest elections had repeatedly slipped away due to political setbacks and circumstances beyond his control. “For over twelve years, I searched for a political platform that would allow me to fly my flag and offer quality representation to my people. The desire of my supporters was always clear, but the opportunity never came. Today, by the grace of God and the support of great leaders within Accord Party, that dream is gradually becoming a reality,” he stated. The politician paid glowing tribute to key stakeholders within the party, particularly Dr. Adebukola Ajaja, Hon. Olayinka Dairo, Comrade Badru Idris, Leader Nuru, and the Oyo State Chairman of Accord Party, Hon. Prince Kolade Ojo Felix, for believing in his vision and creating an enabling environment for his political growth. He pledged his continued loyalty and commitment to those who stood by him throughout his political journey. Speaking on the recently concluded primary election, Oyepeju emphasized that politics should be guided by strategy, maturity, and mutual respect rather than bitterness and hostility. “Elections are won through careful planning, strategic thinking, and grassroots connection not through anger, frustration, or division. Politics should unite rather than divide us,” he said. The Oluyole Federal Constituency candidate also appealed to party faithful to remain calm and maintain peace, stressing that the primary election season had ended and the larger task of winning the general election now lies ahead. “Today will pass and tomorrow will come. There are no permanent enemies and no permanent friends in politics. What remains permanent is our collective commitment to the progress of our people and our party,” he added. Oyepeju used the opportunity to specially acknowledge Hon. Oyeleke Ibrahim Agbolahan, whom he described as a symbol of political maturity and selflessness after voluntarily stepping aside and throwing his weight behind his candidacy. He further extended appreciation to his family, political team, friends, supporters, and numerous well-wishers whose sacrifices and dedication contributed to his success at the primary election. The Accord candidate also congratulated all candidates who emerged victorious during the party’s primaries across Oyo State and expressed confidence that the party would record significant victories in the forthcoming elections. “As we begin this new chapter, I congratulate every candidate who emerged under the Accord platform. May we all succeed in our respective political races and deliver meaningful development to the people we seek to serve,” he said. Political observers believe Oyepeju’s emergence has further energized the political landscape in Oluyole Federal Constituency, with supporters already describing his victory as the beginning of a new movement aimed at deepening grassroots participation and effective representation. For many of his followers, the journey may have taken twelve years, but the destination now appears closer than ever.
