As Muslim faithful across Nigeria join the global Islamic community to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, a prominent political stakeholder, Hon. Dr. Oluwademilade Akin-Alabi, has called on Nigerians to continuously uphold the core values of peace, unity, tolerance, and mutual respect, irrespective of their tribal, religious, or political backgrounds. In a heartfelt felicitation message made available to journalists, Dr. Akin-Alabi extended his warmest greetings to Muslims in Oyo State and across the federation. He emphasized that the festive period is not merely a season of celebration, but a profound reminder of the core virtues of obedience, patience, faithfulness, compassion, and complete trust in the Almighty, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim. Aligning his message with the national leadership, Dr. Akin-Alabi celebrated the sacred occasion on behalf of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He also extended the festive honours on behalf of the distinguished Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli, and the incoming Senator for the district, Aderemi Abass Oseni. While particularly acknowledging the peace-loving people of Oyo State and the residents of Ibadan, the political leader showered immense praise on the great people of Ibadan North East Local Government for their steadfastness. He noted that community development and meaningful national growth can only be attained when citizens remain resolutely united with a common goal of building a better society for future generations. Expressing deep gratitude, Dr. Akin-Alabi appreciated the unwavering support, loyalty, and commitment of the populace toward the progress of Ibadan North East, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole. He reassured the masses that with collective effort, determination, and good leadership, more opportunities and greater milestones await them. As families and loved ones gather for the festivities, he offered prayers that Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, would accept all the sacrifices, prayers, and acts of worship rendered during this holy season. He prayed for the total divine protection of the country, the empowerment of youths with sustainable opportunities, the elevation of women, and the strengthening of elders. Concluding his message, Dr. Akin-Alabi implored the Almighty to continue granting wisdom, strength, sound health, and divine guidance to President Bola Tinubu and other national leaders as they steer Nigeria toward a secure, united, and economically prosperous future.
