• Claims life under threat, warns against fraudulent court processes The founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has raised an alarm over alleged sustained intimidation and threats to his life by suspected land grabbers encroaching on his “Holy Land” situated along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ibadan. Speaking with newsmen on Sunday at the Maharaj Ji Village, the spiritual leader claimed that some armed individuals had, at various times, stormed the community to destabilize the peace of the area and displace legitimate occupants through violence and harassment. Maharaj Ji alleged that these individuals are employing fraudulent court processes and questionable ownership claims to dispossess the movement of its landed property. He noted that while the dispute has lingered for years, the organisation has remained steadfast in defending its rights through legal channels. “The issue of land grabbing has become a major threat to peace and justice in our society. We cannot continue to allow innocent people to be displaced from properties they legally acquired,” he stated. While calling on the Oyo State government, the judiciary, and security agencies to intensify the crackdown on land grabbing syndicates, the “Living Perfect Master” stressed the need for a more robust enforcement of land laws to protect residents from being rendered homeless by influential speculators. He further charged media practitioners to be objective and professional, urging them to conduct thorough investigations before going to press on sensitive land matters. “The press remains a powerful institution. Accurate and fair reportage can help restore justice, while false narratives can destroy families and communities,” Maharaj Ji added. Reiterating his message of peace and unity, he assured members of the One Love Family that the community would continue to pursue all lawful means to secure the land, insisting that his mission remains focused on spiritual enlightenment and societal harmony despite the ongoing provocations.
