Satguru Maharaj Ji, The Living Perfect Master, has made a bold demand to Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, insisting that he take swift action to confront the ongoing crisis in the nation’s health sector or resign from his position.
In a powerful statement released on Tuesday, Satguru Maharaj Ji underscored the urgency of the situation, highlighting the prolonged strike by doctors across Nigeria that has severely disrupted hospital services and led to preventable deaths. He stressed that the Minister’s duty is to prioritize the lives of citizens above any political concerns.
“The Minister must rise above political sentiments and act decisively,” the statement declared. “Nigerians are losing their lives daily due to inaction. Silence and alignment with political agendas are unacceptable!”
Satguru Maharaj Ji also pointed to the alarming brain drain of Nigerian medical professionals seeking better opportunities abroad, warning that ongoing strikes only make it easier for other nations to recruit these skilled workers.
The statement further criticized the lack of transparency regarding the Ministry’s plans to resolve these issues. Satguru Maharaj Ji called for Professor Pate to clearly outline specific measures being taken to address systemic problems in the health sector and provide a definitive timeline for their implementation.
He firmly asserted that both the leaders of the doctors’ associations and the Ministry of Health share moral responsibility for the lives lost during the strike, urging them to consider stepping aside if they cannot deliver effective leadership.
Additionally, Satguru Maharaj Ji emphasized the importance of alternative health practices, citing successful methods used in countries like China, Japan, and Vietnam that utilize roots and plants for preventive care. He encouraged Nigeria to integrate similar approaches to fortify its healthcare system.
He also called on President Bola Tinubu to declare a National Medical Emergency to halt the exodus of medical personnel, restore confidence in hospitals, and safeguard Nigerians from external influences that compromise national health.
