FG declares Monday public holiday.
The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Monday,November 11 a public holiday to celebrate Eid-ul-Maulid.
This was sent to PREMIUM TIMES today,Thursday,November 7,2019 by the interior ministry’s spokesperson,Mohammed Manga.
Eid-ul-Maulid is a celebration for Muslims to mark Birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The declaration was made on behalf of FG by the minister for interior and former governor of Osun State,Rauf Aregbesola.
He congratulated Muslims on the occasion and implored them to live by virtue and teachings:love,courage and perseverance;of the Prophet which he said will guarantee them peace and security in the country.
Rauf said confidently that the challenges confronting Nigeria at the moment will soon be over. He advised Nigerians to be focused and determined .
He stated that with love,commitment, self sacrifice,patience and patriotism,Nigeria will be greater.
He wishes Nigerians a happy and peaceful celebration.
