Falana to take up expelled FUNAAB student’s case.
Femi Falana (SAN) has said he will take up the case of Ifemosu Michael Adewale,a student of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta Ogun State who was expelled over a Facebook open letter he wrote to the Vice Chancellor of the institution.
Falana disclosed this in a Colloquium in Lagos yesterday.
He stated that he has spoken to Michael and the case would be taken to court.
“A young man has spoken to me and he wants to sue his school.
” He wrote an article on armed robbery case in FUNAAB and the school authority felt offended and rusticated him.
“I have asked him to see me next Tuesday. We will take up the case and we will go to court.” Falana said.
The management of the institution had expelled Ifemosu Michael Adewale over an open letter he addressed to the VC about indiscriminate arrests of students by Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and problem of transportation in the university.
However, Michael told “Sahara reporters” that he was expelled solely for his alliance with Sowore and #RevolutionNow movement.
