The Chief Executive Officer of Flymedia, Olowookere Oluwanifemi, has congratulated veteran journalist and media professional, Ronke Giwa Onafuwа, on what he described as her “double portion of elevation” following her recent appointments to new positions of responsibility. Onafuwа, a respected journalist known for her professionalism, courage and commitment to the media profession, recently moved on from Dominion Broadcast Group to take up a new role as Senior Special Adviser on Information to Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde. She was also appointed Director of Media and Publicity for the Alliance for Progress and Mandate (APM) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Bimbo Adekanmbi. Describing the development as a remarkable new chapter in Onafuwа’s career, Olowookere said her new responsibilities were worthy of celebration, particularly given her years of dedication and service in the media industry. Drawing inspiration from the Bible, Olowookere referenced Isaiah 61:7, which speaks of receiving a double portion in place of shame and everlasting joy in place of disgrace. According to him, the scripture aptly captures the significance of Onafuwа’s latest elevation and the opportunities now before her. “On behalf of myself and the entire Flymedia family, I felicitate with Ronke Giwa Onafuwа on this double portion elevation. We pray that God will continue to lift you higher, strengthen you and grant you wisdom for the new responsibilities ahead,” Olowookere said. He described Onafuwа as a professional par excellence and a woman whose courage, love and dedication have continued to distinguish her, both in her professional career and as a mother. Olowookere further prayed that the latest chapter in Onafuwа’s career would bring greater impact, fulfilment and opportunities to serve. “Double portion all the way, in Jesus’ name,” he added.
