The Hon. Dr. Demilade Akin-Alabi Foundation has called on the people of Oyo State to rally behind candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections, saying massive support for the party would strengthen democratic governance and accelerate development.

In a statement made available to journalists, the Foundation urged Nigerians to re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing confidence that continuity in leadership would sustain ongoing reforms and national development efforts.

The Foundation also appealed to Oyo voters to support the APC governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, describing him as an experienced politician with the capacity and vision to move the state to greater heights.

It further endorsed the candidacy of Senator Engr. Aderemi Abass Oseni for Oyo South Senatorial District, citing his contributions to education, youth empowerment, infrastructure development and grassroots empowerment.

The Foundation equally canvassed support for Hon. Ibraheem Iyiola, the APC House of Representatives candidate for Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East Federal Constituency, as well as Hon. Adeyemi Olaide and Hon. Aderibigbe Abiodun Adeleke, candidates for Ibadan North East State Constituencies I and II respectively.

According to the statement, electing APC candidates across all levels of government would promote synergy in governance and enhance the implementation of policies and programmes that directly impact the lives of the people.

The Foundation also urged eligible voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), participate peacefully in the electoral process and shun vote-buying, violence and hate speech.

It further charged APC members and supporters across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing optimism that the party would record victory at the polls.
