2027: MC Swagger Hands Over Political Structure to APC’s Babs-Ogunlade, Declares ‘It’s Babs O’Clock’ in Ibarapa East

Prominent media personality and grassroots mobiliser, Amb. (Dr.) Opeyemi Ayanrinde, popularly known as MC Swagger, has formally handed over his political mobilisation team and structures across the 10 wards of Eruwa and Lanlate in Ibarapa East Local Government Area to the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for the Ibarapa East State Constituency, Babatunde Ayokunmi Babs-Ogunlade, ahead of the 2027 general election.

The symbolic handover, which took place on Saturday during a meeting with members of the Babs Advocates and Team, is expected to strengthen the APC candidate’s grassroots campaign as political activities gather momentum in Oyo State.

Speaking with journalists after the meeting, MC Swagger said he had previously deployed his political structures in support of leaders he believed in and was once again committing his network to Babs-Ogunlade’s ambition.

According to him, all members of his mobilisation team and supporters spread across the 10 wards in Eruwa and Lanlate have been directed to work for the success of Babs-Ogunlade and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.

“This is how I have always supported people in the past, and today we are doing it again. We are putting in our best and even doubling our strength. My mobilisation team and followers across the 10 wards will support, campaign and deliver for Babs-Ogunlade and every APC candidate in 2027,” he said.

MC Swagger maintained that the constituency was ready for a new style of representation centred on people-oriented leadership, human capital development and sustainable community growth rather than personal interests.

He noted that the people of Ibarapa East now desire a representative who understands their aspirations and can effectively connect them with the dividends of democracy.

The broadcaster described Babs-Ogunlade as a leader with integrity, effective communication skills, empathy and resilience, adding that the APC candidate possesses the grassroots appeal and leadership capacity required to transform the constituency.

He further described Babs-Ogunlade’s candidacy as a “new dawn” for Ibarapa East, urging residents to make informed decisions and support a candidate capable of translating campaign promises into meaningful governance.

Expressing confidence in the APC’s chances in the constituency, MC Swagger declared that “it is Babs O’Clock” in Ibarapa East, calling on voters to unite behind the party’s candidate to secure victory in the 2027 polls.

He added that the collective objective was to restore effective representation and ensure that every community in the constituency benefits from purposeful and inclusive leadership under Babs-Ogunlade.
